I will not lie, I am one of those girls who just overthink every single detail of a serious situation because when I first perceive it, I usually am furthest from what really is going on. But I mean hey, I am a typical female. With a heart. A fragile heart. And a brain that goes 29402737 miles per hour.200.gifJade are you okay? Yeah

This reading was an interesting one for me, I got to further understand why certain people perceive things the way they do. One thing that stuck out to me was the mood with perception paragraph. The study where a happy person and a negative person look at the same photo and explain what they get from it. Thats literally me. One day I will be in a good mood and think something is totally normal and okay. Then another day when I am already in a crappy mood that same exact thing will bother the crap out of me. I guess a good example would be loud music. Catch me blasting music and dancing in the car when I am all happy, but oh god would you turn that shit down I got a head ache and I don’t feel good. HAHAHAH

“So far this discussion of research has shown that perception in general is influenced by assumptions, cultural expectations, needs, moods, and attitudes.”

A big controversy with society today is how the media shifts our opinion and our beliefs so well because thats the “facts” right? I recently got into this show on Netflix called Making a Murderer. (Totally recommend it btw, def a 10/10) But anyway, its a well documented documentary about how the police set up Steven Avery NOT ONCE BUT 62fe233fd44a0f2f1b374d99cdd46f26f947c86d939560cdda5aa6b28a1d8848.jpgTWICE. But anyway, my boyfriends grandparents live in Wisconsin and based on the news.. they are totally convinced that Avery killed the girl because the news convinced them and shifted their opinion. That blew my mind because the documentary obviously makes it clear that he didn’t do it. But then I thought to myself, did that documentary shift my opinion? Because isn’t that the media too? Crazy stuff man… Still mind blown about it honestly. And if you got an answer PLEASE LEMME KNOW.

In conclusion, I put this picture here of an elephant. Im just asking you how many legs he has? 4? 6? None? Of course there is a right answer but it is based upon what you perceive. Pretty difficult huh?
Yeah… I’ll just leave this here…Unknown.jpeg
